Government spending for 2025 has been reduced by 6.5 trillion tenge.

В 2025 году расходы госорганов уменьшены на 6,5 трлн тенге.

Astana. October 15. KAZAKHSTAN TODAY - When planning the budget for 2025, expenses for state bodies were reduced from the requested 31 trillion tenge to 25 trillion 750 billion tenge, announced the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Madi Takiyev, at a government briefing.

In the upcoming year, we expect not to inflate the budget in these areas. As we plan the budget for 2025, we, as the Ministry of Finance, have communicated limits of 22.5 trillion tenge to state bodies. In response, state bodies requested expenses amounting to 31 trillion tenge. Consequently, we spent the entire summer working with state bodies, and the budget for the next year is set at 25 trillion 750 billion tenge, resulting in a difference of 6.5 trillion tenge between 31 trillion and 25 trillion 750 billion tenge. This can be regarded as saved funds for the coming year," - the minister informed.

The Finance Minister clarified that revenues from image-building events, such as the Nomad Games, are not included in the budget.

It is worth noting that the head of the National Bank emphasized today at the government meeting that in Kazakhstan, withdrawals from the National Fund exceed inflows. These funds continue to cover the growing fiscal gap; however, maintaining the base rate amid ongoing inflationary pressures is becoming increasingly challenging.
