According to the publication, he is accused of terrorism resulting in death, as well as the manufacture and storage of explosive devices by an organized group. At the request of the investigation, the court held a closed session. Previously, the FSB stated that Kurbonov was recruited by Ukrainian special services. According to the Investigative Committee, he was promised a payment of 100 thousand dollars.
From the court ruling, it became known that Kurbonov was born in 1995 and has two young children.
On the morning of December 17, an explosion occurred on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow near the house where General Kirillov lived. According to the investigation, the explosive device was planted in a scooter parked next to the entrance. As a result of the explosion, both Kirillov and his assistant were killed.
“Ukrainian Truth” and several other Ukrainian media outlets, citing a source in the special services, reported that the explosion was organized by the Security Service of Ukraine. Officially, Ukrainian special services have not commented on the murder of Kirillov.
On the eve of the explosion, the Security Service of Ukraine issued accusations against General Kirillov in absentia for committing crimes. According to the SBU, he is responsible for the use of chemical weapons against Ukrainian military personnel. Specifically, under his orders, approximately five thousand instances of chemical munitions use by Russia have been recorded since the beginning of the full-scale war, including combat grenades “K-1,” which are equipped with irritating toxic substances — CS and CN. Their use is prohibited by the 1993 Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction.
