According to the report from the UzA news agency citing law enforcement agencies, citizen Z.M. accessed materials from extremist organizations regarding "hijra" and "jihad" through his social media accounts on Instagram, Telegram, and WhatsApp.
He made contact with three residents of Andijan who were already part of the terrorist groups "Tawhid wa Jihad Katibasi" and "Guroba Katibasi" in Syria. Under their influence, Z.M. planned to travel to Syria, but due to family issues, he was unable to carry out his intentions.
According to the indictment, from August to December 2023, Z.M. transferred 7,150 US dollars and 41 million 230 thousand sums, received from relatives and acquaintances of these individuals, to accounts linked to cryptocurrency. These funds were used for conversion into foreign currency, which was subsequently sent to the terrorists.
It is noted that one of the three Andijan residents who participated in combat operations in Syria has already died.
