In Shymkent, a civil servant is suspected of taking bribes for disability group approvals for children. Anti-corruption fighters have completed a pre-trial investigation against the acting head of the city department of the state labor inspection committee, as reported by Otyrar.kz.
The official is accused of repeatedly accepting bribes totaling 850,000 tenge from parents of children with disabilities in exchange for approving their disability groups.
The bribes were received with the assistance of a nurse from one of the city's clinics. Currently, the accused have been referred to court by the city prosecutor's office, - stated the prosecutor of the Shymkent prosecutor's office, Ysmail Dinmuhammed.
