Astana. November 20. KAZAKHSTAN TODAY - The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia reminded that starting from December 1, Kazakh citizens, like all foreign nationals, will be required to provide fingerprints upon entering Russia.
The new measures will be implemented in stages.
In the first stage, starting December 1 , all foreigners arriving at Moscow's Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, and Zhukovsky airports, as well as through the road checkpoint at Mashtakovo in the Orenburg region, will need to provide biometric data - a facial image and fingerprints.
In the second stage, starting June 30, 2025 , this practice will expand to all border crossing points into Russia.
During this period, a digital profile will be created for each entering foreign national (including Kazakh citizens). This profile can also be created independently using the RuID app, which will serve as an equivalent to government services for citizens of other countries, offering the ability to notify about visits and access various services in Russia (such as obtaining medical insurance). The digital profile will be integrated into a number of government systems, including public services. We recommend being prepared in advance for additional procedures at border crossing points," the embassy warned.
It is worth noting that in July of this year, Kazakhstan changed its fingerprint registration rules.
