Budapest. November 20. KAZAKHSTAN TODAY - A meeting took place at the Sandor Palace between Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Hungary's President Tamas Suiok, as reported by the Akorda press service.

After a joint photo session, the President of Kazakhstan signed the guestbook.

During the meeting, which was held in a working lunch format, the presidents discussed a wide range of issues concerning the Kazakh-Hungarian strategic partnership.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that over three decades of diplomatic relations between the fraternal nations, a trusting political dialogue, strong economic cooperation, and close cultural and humanitarian ties have been established.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of expanding trade, economic, and investment connections. According to him, Kazakhstan and Hungary have mutual interests in developing areas such as energy, transport, logistics, metallurgy, renewable energy sources, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, the food industry, and others.

For his part, Tamas Suiok pointed out that despite geographical distance, the peoples of the two countries share common historical roots and aspirations.

The interlocutors also paid special attention to deepening cultural and humanitarian ties. The necessity of enhancing academic and scientific exchanges between leading universities of Kazakhstan and Hungary was highlighted.

The presidents also exchanged views on current issues on the international agenda and discussed cooperation within multilateral frameworks.
