The fight was entirely in favor of Jusupov, who knocked his opponent down in the first round.
In the second round, the referee counted another knockdown for Ruzibay, after which Jusupov won by technical knockout.
Jusupov is the 2021 world champion, as well as a two-time Asian champion (2013, 2019) and the winner of the World Series of Boxing (WSB). As for Zholaman, she became the world champion in 2016.
Remember, the Kazakhstan championship started on December 18 and will conclude on the 24th. It features 450 athletes, including many leaders of the Kazakhstan national team. Winners and medalists of the Asian championship are exempt from participation.
